Make your wedding celebration truly memorable with a tradition dating back to Victorian England! Sterling silver charms were tied to a satin ribbon and hidden under the bottom layer of a wedding cake; only the ribbon extending from around the perimeter of the cake was visible. Bridesmaids pulled the charms out before the bride and groom cut the cake.
Today, these wedding cake pulls are often featured at wedding showers or bridal luncheons. Many hostesses use these charms as favors for their guests. Another great idea is to make a charm bracelet for the guest of honor with each charm!
Please don't bake the pulls into the cake. Just place each charm under the bottom layer of the cake (use plastic wrap between the cake pulls and cake, if desired), and have the satin ribbon trail out onto the cake plate.
Each cake pull we offer is tied to a satin ribbon. We enclose a card with every set of charms so that guests will be aware of the charms' meanings.
Sets come in 8-, 10- or 12-pieces. The 8-piece set is featured below. The 10-piece cake pull set includes these charms, plus telephone and wine glasses charms; the 12-piece set includes those charms, plus a baby buggy charm and bridal couple charm.
Please note that, if necessary, appropriate substitutions will be made based upon current inventory. |
