Sterling Trends originated in North Carolina in 1990 under the name "The Jewelry Lady." The name subsequently changed to Sterling Trends to evolve with the newest technology offered with an online store. Today, Sterling Trends is owned and operated by charm enthusiasts in Maryland who know how special it is to celebrate life's charming memories.
Sterling Trends offers quality sterling jewelry, made in the USA, Mexico, Italy, and Thailand. Our silver will be marked "925" or "sterling." We inspect each piece before shipping to ensure excellent quality. Your satisfaction is our highest goal!
How can I place an order?
We are an online retail store and 95% of orders are placed through our online store. If you prefer, you may email your order to: info@sterlingtrends.com. You may also place on order over the phone by calling 301-787-4215. Store hours are 9am - 2pm EST, Monday through Friday.
What are your charms and bracelets made of?
All of our products are made of sterling silver. The international mark for sterling silver is 925. That denotes that the silver content is 92.5% silver.
what is the best way to attach my charms to a charm bracelet?
We recommend split rings for an economical way to attach your charms. They cost .50 each and are sold on the accessory page. You can attach the charms at home and wear your bracelet immediately! For added security, if you wish, have each charm soldered at a jeweler's.
How many charms can I put on one bracelet?
This can only be answered by your personal taste. The standard charm bracelets can hold a lot of charms. One of our favorite charm lovers has a large 8" charm bracelet with over 45 charms--several from each link!
Do you have a customer guarantee?
Sterling Trends is honored to be chosen as your online jewelry source. We guarantee that our jewelry will be "as stated." The sterling items will meet all international jewelry standards, and be marked either "sterling" or "925." We inspect each item before shipping to ensure you of the highest quality control.
What is your return policy?
We understand that Internet shopping can sometimes be tricky. If an item does not meet your expectations, you may return it for refund within 14 days of the shipment date. Item must be unworn and in new condition. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. All returns must be accompanied by the packing slip.
When you return an item, follow the instructions on the packing slip, and most importantly, please indicate the reason for the return.
You may want to insure your return; we cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected returns. If you paid for your order by credit card, a credit will be issued and will appear on your billing statement, after receipt and inspection of returned item. Please e-mail us at info@sterlingtrends.com to notify us of any return.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Currently our shopping cart can handle orders from Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. All others should email us at info@sterlingtrends.com for instructions. Please be aware that global priority shipping does NOT include insurance, so we ship at your risk. We do accept international money orders.
Do you have a minimum order?
No. There is a small handling fee incorporated in the shipping charge on all orders under $11.00.

Do you accept phone orders?
Yes. You may phone us at 301-787-4215. Our office hours are 9 a.m.-2 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. Please remember this is an Internet store. Although we are glad to help you over the phone, we will not be able to quote you a total until order is pulled.
Do you have a print catalog?
No. Please feel free to use your computer and print one from our screens if you would like.
How do I make an exchange on an item?
We gladly accept returns for credit, but don't do exchanges. Once your item is returned, we will credit your charge card. To keep the orders separate, please place another order for the item that you would like. This makes the transaction run faster and smoother.
